Improvements to Writer Commission Payments

We’ve made some positive changes to the Writer Commission Payments. We think this is an improvement and that it puts us more in line with the market for indie ebooks.

We’re offering a fantastic level of commission for our writers, whatever you choose to charge for your ebook. Read more…

These are important alterations to our writer commission structure on all ebooks uploaded to our site.

For ebooks priced from 0.79 to 2.79 (GBP£, US$, or Euro)

Writer commission payments for this bracket will now be at 50% of the Cover Price the writer sets for their ebook.

For ebooks priced at or above 2.99 (GBP£, US$, or Euro)

Writer commission payments for this bracket will now be at 70% of the Cover Price the writer sets for their ebook.

Why we’ve changed this

There are a number of reasons why we’ve altered our initial Beta offering for our Writer Commission Payments. Some of the main ones include:

- We want to give you more commission for your higher priced ebooks.

- We want to give you a great commission on your lower priced ebooks.

- We want to make our site a sustainable, supportive and developmental community for the future.

- We’re committed to PayPal as a 100% secure, simple, and widely used online payment solution. There are some additional charges that PayPal are going to levy on each transaction; iWriteReadRate have chosen to absorb these charges so our writers don’t have to pay them from their commission.

We hope that you are as pleased with these alterations.  We believe that these will be beneficial for our members and the site in the long run.

Happy writing, reading and rating!
